It seems it isn’t just teens who are influenced by the celebrity phenomena – following their glamorous lives, their highs and lows, style, diets, fashion, language and worse idiosyncrasies.

A global survey of 4600 children by developmental charity ChildFund found 21% of kids in developed countries long to be famous, dreaming of being singers or actors. This is compared with only 9% of kids wanting to be teachers and 8 per cent doctors.

In contrast, Over 20% of kids in developing countries want to be teachers and 20 per cent hope to become doctors.
